Description
IMPACT has developed several programs where they operate on cataracts:
Among other things on the hospital train “Lifeline Express” in India, on the floating hospital “Jibon Tari” in Bangladesh. Many thousands of eye surgeries are performed here every year at an average cost price of NOK 300 per operation.
Imagine the floating hospital in Bangladesh, anchored in a river bed far away from the main road and the big cities. Here, surgical procedures are performed in large numbers – the effective organization allows you to operate on 40-60 cataract patients – every day!
One of the main reasons why you get “cataracts” in Africa and Asia, is the relentless, strong sunlight that you live with in these regions and which slowly but surely blinds so many. Over 32 million people in the world are “unnecessarily blind”.
After being in operation for more than 20 years, tens of thousands have regained their sight as a result of IMPACT’s surgery.
Give 300 kroner to IMPACT today – it helps to help!
